Doc Robot appeared in only one episode, in which he served as a simpleminded but enthusiastic lab assistant to Dr. Wily. While trying to stop Duke, Rush, Kevin Keene, and Mega Man from escaping Skull Castle, he accidentally destroyed himself by cutting through a metal tube on the ceiling and running under it as it collapsed.
- Doc Robot's role and appearance in the cartoon are radically different from the Doc Robot of Mega Man 3, who was larger and more bestial and could use all the weapons of the Robot Masters from Mega Man 2. (The Captain N version is only shown using a variation of the Metal Blade.)
- It's worth noting in the game, "Doc Robot" is the result of a mistranslation from Japanese into English. His Japanese name, though the first syllables sound similar to "Doc," actually means "Skull." So the character's proper Japanese name means something closer to "Skull Robot."
- As Doc Robot sounding like "Doctor Robot", it is likely this is why he looks like a mechanical version of Wily in Captain N.
