Ganon is a character in Captain N: The Game Master.
Description[]
Ganon is a resident of Hyrule and the archenemy of Link and Princess Zelda. He is based on the main antagonist of The Legend of Zelda and many of its sequels. He is voiced by Len Carlson, who previously voiced the character in The Legend of Zelda cartoon.
Cartoon[]
Ganon is a very evil and powerful wizard who aspires to conquer Hyrule, but Link has always previously overcome him. After his most recent defeat at Link's hands, he lost most of his power and soon joined up with Mother Brain. Under her orders, King Hippo and Eggplant Wizard retrieved the Potion of Power, which was necessary to restore Ganon to full strength.
After drinking the potion and regaining his powers, Ganon turned against Mother Brain and declared Videoland his. He was defeated, however, by the joint efforts of Link, Zelda, and the N Team.

Trivia[]
- The basis of Ganon's return from defeat was from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Unlike in Captain N: The Game Master, however, his means of return was having Link's blood spread onto his ashes. As such, he only returns if the player loses all of his or her lives.
- In the Captain N cartoon, Ganon wears a talisman around his neck that changes in appearance when he regains his powers. He did not wear this talisman in The Legend of Zelda cartoon.
