There are a few narrators on Captain N: The Game Master.
Cartoon[]
Main Narrator[]
The main narrator provides narration in the cartoon episodes. He has a deep voice. The purposes of the narration are to provide information, advance the plot, and transition between scenes. The narrator is not (from what we can tell) a character in the series.
The Mysterious Voice[]
In "Kevin in Videoland," a mysterious, booming voice exposits to Princess Lana about the Legend of Videoland, Captain N, and the Ultimate Warp Zone. The voice is identical to that of the main narrator, implying that the main narrator throughout the series is this same mysterious voice. However, this has never been substantiated. Furthermore, the significance of the voice and how it relates to the Legend of Videoland and/or the Ultimate Warp Zone (if at all) has never been established.
The mysterious voice is heard in the Season 1 opening theme song, saying "Behold...the Ultimate Warp Zone!" as in "Kevin in Videoland." The words, "Welcome to Videoland!", are also spoken, but this is presumably the main narrator.
Season 2 Theme[]
A narrator announced "And now: Captain N and the Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3!" during the NBC run of Season 2, over a unique title screen, prior to the Captain N Season 2 opening theme song starting. This narrator was voiced by Ernie Anderson, also known as the original announcer on America's Funniest Home Videos.
Princess Lana provides her own narration during the Captain N opening theme song.
When Mother Brain Rules[]
In version 1 of "When Mother Brain Rules," there is a different narrator (or the same narrator with a different voice) from the rest of the series. Version 2 has the regular main narrator.
In both versions, Andrew Kavadas provides narration as Simon Belmont, even breaking the fourth wall by being aware of the fictional nature of the episode. His narration is somewhat different in each version.
Season 3 Theme[]
Kevin provides his own narration during the Season 3 opening theme song.
Captain N & The Video Game Masters[]
In the Captain N & The Video Game Masters weekday syndication package, a narrator spoke over the commercial bumpers.
