Tetris (Russian: Те́трис) is a video game that was originally designed and programmed by Alexey Pajitnov. Another version of it was made by Nintendo and released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989. In this game, players take control of falling blocks ("Tetrads") of various shapes and try to complete as many lines as possible before the stack of blocks reaches the top of the screen.
